TÜV Thüringen

TÜV Thüringen is an internationally active service company with its registered office in Erfurt. It inspects and certifies technical installations, machines, systems and processes, and provides training through its academies and testing in its laboratories. The TÜV Thüringen Group states that it acts objectively and independently, with consulting services provided by TÜV Thüringen Anlagentechnik GmbH & Co KG and educational services by TÜV Thüringen Akademie GmbH.

TÜV Thüringen states that it has stood for quality and safety from the heart of Germany for more than three decades, and that from its roots as a technical inspection association it has developed into a modern, internationally active service company. It describes its core tasks as revolving around the same questions as at the time of the first steam boilers: how people, material assets and the environment can best be protected from dangers that can emanate from technology.
