Superfan

Superfan is the brand under which Versa Drives Private Limited, a technology company based in Coimbatore, India, sells what its official story page describes as India's first super energy efficient ceiling fan. The brand's official site presents BLDC ceiling fans, including high speed and high flow models, as well as table, pedestal and wall BLDC fans. Product pages list BLDC ceiling fans manufactured and packed by Versa Drives Private Limited in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India.

According to the official Superfan story page, Versa Drives Private Limited is a 30-year-old technology company in Coimbatore, India, expert in motor control and embedded systems. The page states that one of its products is India's first super energy efficient ceiling fan, sold under the brand Superfan. It says the Superfan innovation story began in 2010 when Versa Drives was suggested to investigate the issue of inefficiency among fans by panelists in a technology forum. It further states that the company then encountered the study 'Ceiling fan: The overlooked appliance' conducted by Prayas, an NGO based in Pune, and that the study reported about 40 crore fans in India consuming over 100 million units of electricity every day. The page says the company set out to find a solution with the objective to replace all the inefficient fans in India with its intended efficient solution, and that because 80% of fans were ceiling fans, this became its initial target.

Superfan is presented as India's first super energy efficient ceiling fan brand, with emphasis on energy efficiency, airflow and modern design.
