Supercoat

Supercoat is a brand of dry dog food in Australia, known for its SMARTBLEND® recipes and a range of tailored nutrition for dogs. It has over 30 years of experience and is produced in Australia. The brand was acquired by Purina Australia in 2007.

Supercoat began in Australia in 1986 as a pelleted dog food with a focus on specific breeds and was sold exclusively within Pet Specialty stores. In 1990, the brand began to focus on life stage products and removed artificial colours and flavours. In the late 1990s, Supercoat focused on high quality ingredients and became available in supermarkets nationally in resealable packaging. In 2007, Supercoat was bought by Purina Australia and produced at the Blayney factory in regional NSW. In 2016, the Smartblend® formula was introduced. Supercoat continues to be a leader in the Purina dry dog portfolio and is produced in Australia.
