Subic Water and Sewerage Company

Subic Water and Sewerage Co., Inc (SUBICWATER) is a water utility in the Philippines. It is a consortium of D.M. Consunji Inc. (DMCI), Iv3 Aqua, the City Government of Olongapo, Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), and Maynilad Water Services Inc. The company was granted the exclusive right to operate, maintain, and improve the water and sewerage systems of Olongapo City and Subic Bay Freeport under a 30-year franchise term. It officially commenced operations on April 1, 1997.

Olongapo City faced an impending water crisis in the mid-1990s. Water facilities were mostly dilapidated, raw water sources were scarce, and the former water district lacked capital to rehabilitate the water system. The adjoining Subic Bay Freeport held abundant raw water supply. To solve the crisis and secure future water requirements, Subic Water and Sewerage Co., Inc. (SUBICWATER) was born. The company was set up in the mid-1990s and officially commenced operations on April 1, 1997.
