STIWA Holding GmbH, operating as the STIWA Group, is an Austrian company founded in 1972 that develops automation, production and software solutions. As a manufacturer, it combines machine engineering with high-performance production technologies and software tools. The STIWA Group operates through three business fields — Automation, Manufacturing & Software — serving customers worldwide from the automotive industry to medical technology, with 12 locations worldwide.

STIWA was founded in 1972 and has grown over more than 50 years from a one-man operation in Upper Austria into an internationally successful corporate group. In 2000, the first automotive components went into series production. In 2002, the company opened a new technology park in Gampern and expanded its main plant in Attnang. In 2005, a new building for amsec was constructed as a software and event center in Softwarepark Hagenberg. In 2009, the STIWA Group (APF) was nominated as a 'TIER 1' series supplier for VW. In 2011, Peter and Raphael Sticht jointly took over the management of STIWA Holding GmbH, and the company won the Pegasus in Bronze. In 2012, STIWA celebrated its 40th anniversary with a three-day event. In 2013, STIWA Nantong Automation Machinery Production Co., Ltd. was founded in Nantong/Shanghai, China. In 2016, STIWA USA was founded in North Carolina. In 2017, STIWA Deutschland GmbH was founded in Wilnsdorf. In 2018, the Attnang-Puchheim and Gampern sites were expanded, and Werk Nantong 2 opened with more than 70 employees in China. In 2019, Walter and Herta Sticht were awarded the Pegasus in Crystal for their life's work. In 2020, the STIWA Group marked 40 years of apprenticeship training. In 2021, the STIWA-USA site was expanded into a full automation and service location and moved to Fort Mill, S.C. In 2022, STIWA celebrated its 50th anniversary. In 2023, there was a successful groundbreaking for the new North America site in Rock Hill, S.C., and 10 years of STIWA Group in China. In 2025, the new North America site in Rock Hill, S.C. was opened.
