Stiftelsen Horisont

Stiftelsen Horisont is a Norwegian inter-cultural foundation established in 2000. It works to promote cultural exchange, competence development and diversity within Norwegian arts and cultural life. The foundation is best known for organising the world culture festival Mela, as well as cultural workshops, exhibitions and other events. A central part of its mission is to facilitate exchange between artists based in Norway and artists from countries in the South, and to increase the participation of minorities in Norwegian arts and culture. The foundation also seeks to be an actor that consciously promotes diversity in the development of Norwegian cultural policy. Khalid Salimi is the daily leader (daglig leder) of the foundation. Its activities are centred in Norway, with an international outlook through its partnerships and cultural programming.
