Overview
Starlinger is a company that originated from a firm founded in 1835. It produces machinery for woven plastic sacks, plastic recycling, and plastic finishing, and offers a complete technology for a closed packaging cycle.
History
The company Starlinger originated from the firm Franz Laubek, founded in 1835, which produced stationary steam engines and drive elements. In 1897, under Franz Starlinger, the firm switched to the production of textile machines. In 1913, the company was registered as Starlinger & Co in the commercial register. From 1920, the production program was changed to specialized winding machines for weaving. In 1955, Starlinger entered new technical territory with the development of winding machines specifically for synthetic fibers. In 1959, Franz X. Starlinger-Huemer took over the company as owner and managing director. In 1968, the first assembly hall was built in Weissenbach an der Triesting. With the series production of self-developed circular looms for PP tapes, Starlinger increasingly became an export company.
