Stadtwerke Achim is a municipal utility company in Achim, Germany. Its website states that it provides information on energy supply in Achim, Oyten, Langwedel and Ottersberg, covering electricity, gas, heat, e-mobility, photovoltaics and networks. The company traces its origins to the 'Gaswerk Achim Aktiengesellschaft', founded on 12 January 1910 with share capital of 100,000 marks, and was formed under the name Stadtwerke Achim AG in 1967 through the merger of the municipal 'Elektrizitäts- und Wasserversorgung' with the 'Gas- und Elektricitätswerke Achim AG'.

Stadtwerke Achim states that it has existed in Achim for over 110 years. It was founded on 12 January 1910 as 'Gaswerk Achim Aktiengesellschaft' with share capital of 100,000 marks. In June 1920 the municipality of Achim was connected to the electricity supply of the Elektrizitätsverband Stade, and shortly afterwards, in 1922, the Gaswerk Achim Aktiengesellschaft took over the electricity network. In the following decades the Gas- und Elektricitätswerke Achim AG expanded its supply area, and town gas production was increased with a new 8-retort furnace. Due to the Second World War, in-house production was interrupted from 1942 to 1948, and gas was instead purchased from Stadtwerke Bremen. In 1967 the municipal operations 'Elektrizitäts- und Wasserversorgung' merged with the 'Gas- und Elektricitätswerke Achim AG' to form Stadtwerke Achim AG.
