Stø AS

Stø AS is a Norwegian company owned by 104 Norwegian banks through the same parent company as Vipps. It provides trust services in ID, payment and KYC. The company was established as a separate company in 2022; before this, BankID and BankAxept had existed for 20 and 30 years respectively. Anti-money laundering and know-your-customer became a separate business area in 2024, and today more than 1500 companies use KYC services from Stø. Stø is launching KYC Flow, a new case management system for know-your-customer and anti-money laundering processes.

The foundation for Stø lies in the services BankID and BankAxept, which were developed as services for the banks and are now in use in all sectors and industries.   KYC Flow is Stø's new case management system for know-your-customer and anti-money laundering processes. It gathers the entire customer control process in one solution – from collection of customer information to risk classification and ongoing follow-up.
