Sprucewood Shores Estate Winery

Sprucewood Shores Estate Winery is a family-owned and operated winery located on the shores of Lake Erie in the EPIC wine region, about 30 minutes south of Windsor/Detroit. It describes itself as Ontario's only beachfront winery, nestled on 52 tranquil acres with patios, gardens, vines, ponds and a neighbouring wetland. The winery produces 100% Ontario VQA wines and is owned and operated by the Mitchell Family.

Founders Gord and Hannah Mitchell planted their first grapes in 1991. For over 35 years the family has been committed to growing premium VQA grapes along the shores of Lake Erie in the EPIC wine region, 30 minutes south of Windsor/Detroit. The grapes were sold to neighboring wineries for years, until in 2004, winemaker Tanya began making wine under the Sprucewood Shores label. Today, the winery is owned and operated by the Mitchell's Steve, Tanya and Jake and their friendly staff.
