Overview

Splitterblast Records is a Czech online netlabel dedicated to extreme electronic music. It was founded in August 2007 by Kurwastyle Project, following the closure of the first Czech speedcore community, czechspeedcore.com, in autumn 2006. Kurwastyle Project initially created a website specialized in downloading extreme speedcore and noise music, called Splitterblast - Extreme Core Community, which after a few months evolved into an online record label. After releasing several compilations and EPs by various artists from around the world, the label grew to more than 40 members and became popular within the scene. Some artists were later removed. In autumn 2009, Loffciamcore joined as co-owner and cover designer, and both owners decided to focus more on the quality of the released material. Splitterblast is currently specialized in speedcore, splittercore and terrorcore music. In 2010, Kurwastyle Project opened a sub-label, Thunderblast Gabba Records (TGR), specialized in oldschool hardcore/gabber releases. Those releases are dedicated to people who are tired of the mainstream hardcore sound and still enjoy the hardcore/gabber sound of the 1990s. The label operates primarily online, with a presence on MySpace and Facebook, and its discography is available online.
