SPHER, Inc. is an American healthcare cybersecurity company specializing in patient privacy monitoring. The company provides a solution that monitors user activity within sensitive clinical applications to detect unauthorized access to electronic protected health information (ePHI).

SPHER, Inc. was started by Raymond Ribble and Rob Pruter based on their mutual understanding of the shortcomings in data cybersecurity and HIPAA's user activity monitoring requirements during the migration from paper to electronic medical record systems. The SPHER solution was developed to protect patient data and mitigate the risk of a major data breach, as well as to ease the burden of adhering to State and Federal privacy regulations.
