It describes itself as the first Bavarian brewery to specialize in brewing Pils, and its product range includes Schierlinger Pils, Schierlinger Hell, Schierlinger Hell Alkoholfrei and Schierlinger NATUR RADLER. History

According to the brewery, it has existed in Schierling for more than 440 years, with 1578 given as the official founding year, and the brewhouse has been located in the town center at Rathausplatz. The brewery states it was always inseparably connected with the Bräustüberl and with the history of Schierling, and that it survived events including the plague, famines, plundering during the Thirty Years' War, and the town being stormed three times and set on fire during the Napoleonic Wars. On 1 May 1834 the brewery came into the possession of the princely House of Thurn und Taxis; the brewhouse was continuously expanded and modernized, and toward the end of the 1920s, during the global economic crisis, Thurn und Taxis continued operating only the Schierling brewery out of an original 52 princely breweries. The brewery states that in Schierling it brewed Pilsener as the first brewery in Bavaria, the "Taxis Pilsener". In the 1980s the brewery became a "Specialitätenbrauhaus", and "Weizen frisch vom Fass" and "Schierlinger Roggen" originated in that period. In 1997 Leonhard Salleck, managing director of the Kuchlbauer brewery from Abensberg, used the opportunity to purchase the Schierling brewery.
