Overview

Spark Capital is a venture firm. According to its website, in 2008 Spark led Twitter's Series B round, and it has invested in ambition, people, and ideas. In 2020 the firm revisited its brand identity, working with design partner Pentagram, and adopted a dog logo.

History

According to Spark Capital's website, in 2008 Spark led Twitter's Series B round and became close with Twitter co-founder Biz Stone. In 2017, after selling Jelly to Pinterest, Biz Stone worked out of Spark's San Francisco office while considering his next move; at the same time Spark was considering its own next move as a brand, and Biz Stone created a branding deck for Spark. In 2020, Spark decided to take a fresh look at its identity, delivering its archives—including Biz Stone's deck—to design partner Pentagram. Pentagram revisited and reworked those sketches, and Spark adopted a dog logo.
