SOCAR Trading Gas & Power sarl is a Luxembourg-registered company within the SOCAR Trading group. SOCAR Trading was established in December 2007 as the marketing arm of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and is headquartered in Geneva. It is a wholly-owned state entity that also operates as a commodities trading company based in Switzerland. Since 2017 SOCAR Trading has invested in LNG and gas trading capabilities, and in 2021 it set up a carbon trading desk. SOCAR Trading S.A. is a 100%-owned subsidiary of SOCAR, the national oil company of Azerbaijan.
