Overview
SNT Deutschland AG is a German business process outsourcing (BPO) provider headquartered in Frankfurt am Main. The company specialises in written, telephone and sales- and service-oriented customer communication. Its service portfolio includes customer service, customer relationship management (CRM), telephone sales and receivables management (Forderungsmanagement). The roots of the company go back to 1985, when the Dutch entrepreneur Tobias A.M. Walraven founded a data-processing business. He helped establish telephony as a recognised sales and service instrument within the marketing mix and expanded the company into a European communications service provider. In 1994 the telemarketing service provider Diatel Direkt was founded in Frankfurt am Main; it grew rapidly in terms of employees, locations and industry expertise, and at the end of 2000 was renamed SNT Deutschland AG. The abbreviation SNT originally stood for Service Network Telecom. In 2002 SNT took over all customer-care units (Potsdam, Essen, Cologne) of the mobile provider E-Plus, including management. Both the E-Plus Group and SNT Deutschland AG were wholly owned subsidiaries of the Dutch telecommunications company KPN at that time. In 2006, for cost reasons, the company closed its Pforzheim, Cologne and Limburg sites and sold the Dietzenbach site, affecting around 900 employees. On 1 November 2011, around 1,900 employees at the Berlin, Essen, Neubrandenburg and Potsdam sites were transferred to E-Plus Customer Support GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of E-Plus Mobilfunk GmbH & Co. KG. After this carve-out SNT still employed around 3,000 people at seven locations. In 2014 the company reported around 3,350 employees at seven German sites. In February 2015 SNT was sold by its former parent company KPN to the LIVIA Group. On 31 March 2015 the Greifswald site (SNT Greifswald GmbH), which had previously employed 251 people, was closed. On 10 March 2017 the sale of the company to regiocom was announced. SNT Deutschland AG operates branch offices in Berlin, Chemnitz, Essen and Potsdam.
