Skinners is a Czech footwear brand whose official site describes it as offering premium Czech barefoot footwear, including 'ponožkoboty' (sock shoes) and barefoot shoes for women, men and children. According to the brand's own story page, the idea originated when law student Petr Procházka, during a summer job in Norway, sewed a provisional sole onto a sock to help a friend who suffered from a foot condition; after returning to the Czech Republic he developed the footwear further.
