Sinopharm Animal Health Co., Ltd. (abbreviated 国药动保) is the only animal health business under Sinopharm Group, affiliated with China National Biotec Group. Founded in 1971, it is a national high-tech enterprise producing seven major categories and more than 80 products, including swine, avian, cattle and sheep, and pet vaccines, diagnostic reagents, therapeutic products and economic animal vaccines. It operates two production bases in Wuhan Optics Valley and Yangzhou Hanjiang, with annual vaccine capacity exceeding 10 billion doses. Its flagship products, the porcine circovirus baculovirus vector inactivated vaccine and the porcine circovirus type 2 and Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae bivalent inactivated vaccine, have ranked first in national market share for five consecutive years.

Sinopharm Animal Health Co., Ltd. was founded in 1971 and has developed over more than half a century. In 2016, China National Biotec Group completed asset restructuring of the company, increasing registered capital to 176.4 million yuan. In 2018, the company was renamed Sinopharm Animal Health Co., Ltd., and through equity swap, Sinopharm Yangzhou Weike Biological Engineering Co., Ltd. became a wholly-owned subsidiary, with registered capital increasing to 252.05346 million yuan. In 2021, the company held a 50th anniversary celebration. In 2023, it was recognized as a National Enterprise Technology Center and a Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs for Animal Biological Products Genetic Engineering Technology. In 2024, it was approved to establish a national-level postdoctoral research workstation. In 2025, the African swine fever subunit vaccine obtained clinical trial approval, and the first batch of swine vaccines was exported to Myanmar. In 2026, it was recognized as a national-level Green Factory.

Aims to become a leading enterprise providing animal health solutions, focusing on zoonotic disease prevention and import substitution of animal vaccines and drugs.
