Simba Toys

Simba Toys is a toy brand founded on 1 May 1982 by Fritz and Michael Sieber with five employees, initially focusing on wooden toys from Eastern Europe. It is part of the Simba Dickie Group, a family-owned international toy corporation based in Fürth, Bavaria, Germany, whose product portfolio includes more than 4,000 articles.

Simba Toys was founded on 1 May 1982 by Fritz and Michael Sieber with five employees; Monika Sieber joined the company as foreign correspondent. The initial focus of the business was on wooden toys from Eastern Europe. The brand is part of the Simba Dickie Group, whose history traces back to 1945 when 21-year-old Fritz Sieber established the company Herbert Sieber&Sohn ("Siso") with his father in East Germany, starting with a small range of dolls and later adding wooden toys. In 1960 the Siebers settled in Fürth, Bavaria, where Fritz Sieber founded the wooden toy company SISO for the second time. In 1984, Fritz and Michael Sieber opened an office in Hong Kong to expand into the Far East.
