S.i. Systems describes itself as Canada's largest IT staffing agency, connecting clients with IT talent across areas such as analytics, app development, infrastructure, and security. It offers contract staffing, direct hire services, IT solutions, and contractor payrolling. The company launched in 1985 as "Sharper Image Oil and Gas Computer Systems Limited," shortened its name around 1991, and expanded to Calgary in 1994 and Toronto in 2004. It introduced its FloThru contractor payrolling service in 2001 and its MatchGuide technology platform in 2002, and received a majority investment from Quad C in 2018.

S.i. Systems launched in 1985 as "Sharper Image Oil and Gas Computer Systems Limited." Around 1991 the company shortened its name and began growing rapidly. It launched in Calgary in 1994 to pursue a Western stronghold. Compliance and consistency demands led to the FloThru Contractor Payrolling Service in 2001, and in 2002 the company introduced MatchGuide, its proprietary technology platform. It opened in Toronto in 2004. In 2005 it held its first President's Club trip for top performers. It created the Chennai Tech Centre in 2006 to support scalability of core applications. A Toronto acquisition program added Datalist and Maxim Group in 2010, and in 2014 the Toronto market grew with the addition of Nexstaff and Redwood Global; also in 2014 an industry-leading training curriculum emerged. In 2015 S.i. Systems introduced Scaling Up (Gazelles) for more accountability and scalability. In 2018 it received a majority investment from Quad C, and in 2020 it launched a cyber security practice.
