Showplace Cinemas South

Showplace Cinemas South was a movie theater located in Evansville, Indiana, in the United States. It operated as part of the Showplace Cinemas chain, a regional cinema circuit based in the Evansville area. The venue is now a former movie theater, meaning it has ceased operations as a cinema. As a local multiplex, it would have shown first-run Hollywood films and served the south side of Evansville. The theater's website was hosted under the Showplace Cinemas domain, showplacecinemas.com. Because the venue is no longer active, its entry in the brand knowledge base is primarily historical. No founding date, ownership details, or closure date are available in the supplied evidence, so those fields remain unset. The brand identity is tied to the Showplace Cinemas name, which is used by the parent circuit for its various locations in the region.
