Showplace Cinemas North

Showplace Cinemas North is a movie theater located in Evansville, Indiana, in the United States. It operates as one of the locations of the Showplace Cinemas chain, a regional cinema circuit serving the Tri-State area around southwestern Indiana, western Kentucky, and southeastern Illinois. The venue is listed in public knowledge bases as a movie theater in Evansville, and its official web presence is tied to the Showplace Cinemas brand at showplacecinemas.com. As a first-run multiplex, Showplace Cinemas North shows mainstream Hollywood releases alongside family films and occasional specialty programming, and it offers the standard amenities of a modern American cinema: multiple auditoriums, digital projection, concession stands, and online ticketing through the chain's website. The theater's name reflects its position as the northern location within the Showplace Cinemas group, distinguishing it from the chain's other Evansville-area sites. The brand is privately held and family/regionally operated rather than part of a national exhibitor. Because it is a local market cinema, detailed corporate information such as founding year, ownership structure, and auditorium counts is not consistently documented in public sources. The available evidence confirms only its identity as a movie theater in Evansville, Indiana, and its association with the Showplace Cinemas website.

What is clear is its identity as a movie theater in Evansville and its affiliation with the Showplace Cinemas brand. Like many regional American multiplexes, it would have evolved from film projection to digital cinema and added amenities such as online ticketing and expanded concessions over time, though specific dates for these changes are not documented here.
