Showboat Drive-In was a drive-in movie theater in Bay City, Texas, United States. It belonged to the drive-in cinema format that became widespread in the United States during the mid-twentieth century, in which films were projected onto a large outdoor screen and patrons watched from parked automobiles. The venue is recorded as a former drive-in theater, meaning it has ceased operation. Beyond its location in Bay City, Texas, and its status as a former drive-in, the supplied evidence does not provide dates for its opening or closing, its founders, its ownership history, or the number of screens it operated. Its web address, theshowboatdrivein.com, indicates that the business maintained an online presence during its active period. As a local exhibition venue, it would have contributed to the entertainment and social life of Bay City and the surrounding Texas Gulf Coast region.
