Showa Environment System Co., Ltd. is a Japanese company headquartered in Taito, Tokyo, engaged in the design, construction, and sale of wastewater purification systems using porous ceramic, water-quality pollution prevention equipment, water treatment systems, and microbial waste treatment agents. It was established on June 10, 1988, and operates a Tokyo branch and an Oita sales office.

The company was established on June 10, 1988, in Naka-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, under the name Nikki Hanbai Co., Ltd. On October 13, 1988, it filed a patent application for 'Porous Soft Ceramic and Its Manufacturing Method' as a contact material for wastewater treatment, and the patent was granted on March 22, 1993 (Patent No. 1862154). On October 4, 1995, it concluded a sales agency agreement for wastewater purification equipment and facilities using porous soft ceramic, utilizing a bio-agent sold by Universe Development Co., Ltd. (an affiliate of Sompo Japan). On October 4, 2001, Showa Mining Co., Ltd. (now Showa KDE Co., Ltd.) acquired 100% of its shares, making it a subsidiary. On January 1, 2002, the company changed its name to Showa Environment System Co., Ltd. On June 3, 2009, it moved its head office to Nishi-Ikebukuro, Toshima-ku, Tokyo. In December 2010, it became independent from Showa KDE Co., Ltd. In January 2011, it moved its head office to Naka-ku, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture. In September 2015, it moved its head office to Yushima, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo. In April 2021, it moved its head office to Iriya, Taito-ku, Tokyo. In May 2022, it opened a Tokyo branch in Yoyogi, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo.
