ShopBox

ShopBox is a shopping centre located in the Košická Nová Ves district of Košice, Slovakia. It was built between February and October 2019 and opened in November 2019. The centre occupies 7,000 m² on Herlianska Street, close to the newer residential projects Panoráma and Zelená stráň, on a plot of roughly 39,000 m². The investor estimated total costs at 3 million euros. The shopping centre is accessible by public transport via bus line 35. Within its grounds there is a Lidl supermarket with an area of 1,400 m² (opened on 11 July 2019) and a Slovnaft petrol station. The original plan of the investor was to build three separate buildings: ShopBox as the shopping centre, FoodBox as a fast-food restaurant, and FitBox with sports and recreational functions. However, this plan was abandoned and only the shopping centre with the supermarket was built. The shopping centre contains a total of 14 rental units, with the following tenants: 1. day, PressCafé, Flor Plus, dm, KiK, Pepco, Váš dom farieb & hobby, Sportisimo, TEDi, Planeo Elektro, Vaša lekáreň, Super ZOO, Jysk, and Merkur Spielo. In addition, the centre's parking area includes an AlzaBox from Alza.sk and an electric vehicle charging station from ZSE. ShopBox serves as a local shopping destination in Košice, offering a mix of drugstore, fashion, electronics, pet supplies, pharmacy, and grocery retail. Its website lists stores such as 1.Day, emmi nail, flor plus kvety, dm drogerie, kik, pepco, colorcentrum, sportisimo, TEDi, PLANEO Elektro, VAŠA lekáreň, Super zoo, JYSK, and MILLENIUM, with opening hours generally from 09:00 to 20:00 Monday to Sunday.
