Shizuoka Tokushukai Hospital

Shizuoka Tokushukai Hospital (静岡徳洲会病院) is a general hospital that began clinical services on April 1, 2005 as Shizuoka Tokushukai Hospital of Okinawa Tokushukai Medical Corporation. It provides outpatient, inpatient, health screening, vaccination, and rehabilitation services, and describes itself as a community-based general practice hospital. In 2021, Okinawa Tokushukai Medical Corporation merged with Tokushukai Medical Corporation, and the hospital became Shizuoka Tokushukai Hospital of Tokushukai Medical Corporation. The hospital has undergone bed-count changes and added a recovery-phase rehabilitation ward and an attached nursing care medical facility.

Shizuoka Tokushukai Hospital was completed and celebrated its opening on March 27, 2005, and began clinical services on April 1, 2005 as Shizuoka Tokushukai Hospital of Okinawa Tokushukai Medical Corporation, with departments including internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, plastic surgery, orthopedics, cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery, obstetrics and gynecology, dermatology, gastroenterology, neurology, rehabilitation, radiology, and oral surgery, and with 505 licensed beds (403 general, 102 long-term care). In 2006 it was designated as a base-type clinical training hospital. In 2012 it opened the nursing care facility Shizuoka Tokushuen. In 2013 it opened a rheumatology department and started an artificial joint center, and in 2014 it changed to 499 beds (403 general, 96 long-term care). In 2020 it opened a recovery-phase rehabilitation ward. On October 1, 2021, Okinawa Tokushukai Medical Corporation and Tokushukai Medical Corporation merged, and the hospital became Shizuoka Tokushukai Hospital of Tokushukai Medical Corporation. In 2022 it changed to 460 beds (364 general, 96 long-term care). In 2024 it changed to 419 beds (364 general, 55 long-term care) and opened the attached nursing care medical facility Shizuoka Tokushukai Hospital Nursing Care Medical Facility Yūkari no Kokage. On April 5, 2025, it held a 20th anniversary ceremony.
