Shinyei Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 2007 as part of a reorganization of the Shinyei Group's electronics business, with Kyushu Shinyei Electronics Co., Ltd. as the surviving company and the trade name changed to Shinyei Technology Co., Ltd. The company traces its origins to 1887 with the founding of 'Yugen Sekinin Shinyei Kaisha' (now Shinyei Co., Ltd.), and its electronics business began in 1940. In 1946, Yoshida Seiki Seisakusho was founded, later reorganized as Yoshida Seiki Co., Ltd. in 1950, starting production of railway measuring instruments and vibration meters for vehicles and ships. Over the decades, the company developed products such as impact recorders (1960), impact and drop testers (1964), silicon humidity elements (1970), precision humidity generators (1973), polymer humidity sensors (1978), transport environment recorders (1991), optical dust sensors (1994), mirror-cooled dew-point meters (2000), mobile drop testers (2002), odor monitors (2002), optical pollen sensors (2005), TDLAS dew-point moisture meters (2016), logistics loggers G-TAG series (2019), particle sensing monitors (2021), and a compact CRDS trace moisture meter (2024). In 2015, Shinyei Test Machinery Co., Ltd. was established to inherit Yoshida Seiki's business, and in 2019 it was integrated into Shinyei Technology Co., Ltd. The company launched the IoT system 'S3 platform' in 2023 and released the record digitization system 'F-Repo' in 2025.
