History

Shenzhen Wave-particle Technology Co. (English abbreviation WAPA) was founded in 2004. In 2005 the company independently developed an MPEG-4 intelligent noise-reduction encoding/decoding algorithm, achieving about 30% improvement in image quality and reduction in bitstream. In 2006 it developed a DVR with a built-in dynamic domain name, greatly improving the convenience of remote monitoring. In 2007 it developed an X86-architecture embedded DVR. In 2008 it fully mastered the underlying ISP core technology of cameras, independently developed camera 3A (auto white balance, auto exposure, auto focus) algorithms, and released digital network high-definition cameras at the end of 2008. In 2010 it developed a high-speed dome camera core, and together with dozens of units including the First Research Institute of the Ministry of Public Security and China Public Security Magazine, co-founded the China Intelligent High-Definition Video Surveillance Industry Alliance and served as the first rotating chairman unit, declaring 2010 as the first year of high definition. In 2011 it was invited to participate in the formulation of national high-definition related standards, drafting the national public security industry standards "Measurement Methods for High-Definition Cameras in Security Video Surveillance" and "General Technical Requirements for Security Video Surveillance Cameras". In 2013 it developed the WAPA-LINUX embedded file system. In 2015 it developed a P2P routing penetration algorithm, further optimized in 2017. From 2016 to the present it has successively developed defogging algorithms, fire recognition algorithms, license plate recognition algorithms, voice recognition algorithms, intelligent tracking algorithms, gun-ball linkage algorithms, behavior analysis algorithms, intelligent dynamic retrieval algorithms, and others, and owns dozens of national invention patents and utility model patents as well as a large number of core code computer software copyrights. The company has two branch companies: Xi'an (R&D center) and Shenzhen Bao'an (production center).
