In 2023, the Shanghai Municipal Administration for Market Regulation found that Shanghai Pharmaceuticals subsidiary Shanghai No. 1 Biochemical & Pharmaceutical Co. abused its dominant market position by selling polymyxin B sulfate for injection at unfairly high prices.
