Shakespeare's Pizza

Shakespeare's Pizza is a pizza restaurant brand based in Columbia, Missouri, describing itself as "more than pizza—we're a Columbia tradition, serving up neighborhood favorites since 1973." It operates three Columbia locations—Downtown, South, and West—and offers pizza, salads, and libations, with pizzas served on a choice of wheat or white crust. The brand also sells frozen pizzas through Missouri grocers or by shipment, offers fundraising partnerships, and hosts private pizza parties at its locations.

Shakespeare's Pizza opened its doors for the first time downtown in 1973. In 1976, Jay and Nancy Lewis purchased Shakes' from the original owners. In 2010, it was voted "Best College Hangout" by Good Morning America. In 2016, the original downtown building was rebuilt to make room for more apartments and reopened in August 2016. By 2023, the brand was celebrating 50 years, having grown from a carry-out-only restaurant with about 7 employees to operating three locations with about 175 employees.
