Sexy Hot

Sexy Hot is a Brazilian premium television channel dedicated to erotic and explicit adult content, launched in 1996 as the first Brazilian subscription channel focused on adult programming. It was created within the pay-TV ecosystem of Globosat, one of Brazil's leading programmers, and quickly established itself as a reference for controlled, professional adult entertainment in the country. In 2007, Globosat and Playboy TV Latin America & Iberia, a subsidiary of the Claxson group, formed a joint venture called Playboy do Brasil Entretenimento S.A. This entity now operates Sexy Hot and other adult channels in Brazil, including the Playboy TV Latin America & Iberia signals. Canais Globo controls approximately 60% of the venture, while Playboy TV Latin America & Iberia holds the remaining 40%. The channel's headquarters are located in Rio de Janeiro, at the Canais Globo facilities in Barra da Tijuca. Over the years, Sexy Hot has modernized its programming and format. In 2014 it launched the Sexy Hot Play platform, allowing users to watch content on computers, tablets and mobile phones, with privacy features such as an "antiflagra" mode. In 2017 it created the Sexy Hot Produções label to produce original, higher-quality content with more elaborate scripts and narratives, particularly aimed at a female audience. Since 2020, the channel has been directed by Cinthia Fajardo, the first woman in that role, who has led a rebranding focused on diversity, positive sexuality and accessibility. Since 2023, Sexy Hot has been part of the HotGo streaming catalog, distributed to other countries. The channel also runs its own awards, the Prêmio Sexy Hot, and has diversified into scripted erotic series such as Mulher no Volante. This content line sought to reflect greater diversity, both in actors and actresses and in the themes addressed. Since 2020, the channel has been under the direction of Cinthia Fajardo, the first woman to occupy that position. Under her leadership, an important rebranding of the channel's image has occurred, with a renewed focus on diversity. This includes content that promotes the inclusion of people of different genders, races and body types, in addition to incorporating themes such as positive sexuality and respect for women's rights. Work has also been done to make content more accessible for people with sensory disabilities. Since 2023, Sexy Hot has been part of the HotGo catalog, the streaming service of Claxson, and its signal and content are distributed to other countries. Throughout its existence, Sexy Hot has developed its own awards series, the "Prêmio Sexy Hot", to recognize the best productions and professionals in the adult film industry in Brazil. It has also diversified its offer with more elaborate erotic content series, such as the first series Mulher no Volante, a national production that marks the beginning of the channel's original productions with script and not just explicit sex. In 2021, the channel celebrated its 25th anniversary with a large subscriber base and an increasingly professional focus on the production of quality erotic content. This expansion also included the launch of new programs and high-level exclusive content, consolidating Sexy Hot as one of the most important channels in the adult entertainment industry in Brazil.
