Overview
Semcoglas (also known as the Semcoglas Group or SEMCO Group) is a German flat-glass manufacturing and processing group headquartered in Westerstede, Lower Saxony. It was formed in 1997 through the merger of Schüller Qualitätsglas of Westerstede and the Isoglas Group of Nordhorn. The group operates across Europe, with production and/or sales at 23 locations, and produces and processes more than 11 million square meters of safety and insulating glass per year. The company's product range covers facade glazing and interior glass applications. Under the Klimaglas brand it markets specially coated glass optimized for a balance between maximum daylight and protection against summer overheating. It also supplies thermal insulation glazing, solar control glass, acoustic glass and safety glass. For interiors, it produces glass doors, kitchen splashbacks, all-glass showers and glass stair treads. Its subsidiary Finiglas produces curved facade glass. Semcoglas has expanded through organic growth and acquisitions. Since 2006 it has operated a float glass plant together with Euroglas in Osterweddingen. In 2008 it opened Germany's northernmost insulating glass production facility in Kropp. Since 2022 the SEMCO Group has also included two locations in Denmark. The group continues to invest in its network and product portfolio, and in 2024 it received a supplier award ("Lieferanten Oscar") and renamed Glas Spiegel Altenkirchen to Semcoglas GmbH, while also acquiring caleoglas in Murr.
