Selangor Dredging Berhad (SDB) was founded in 1962 by Mr Teh Kien Toh as Selangor Dredging Limited and listed on the Main Board of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange in 1964. For over two decades it operated as a pioneer in tin mining, becoming the first Malaysian entity to construct and operate its own dredges. Before 2004 it established a presence in the Kuala Lumpur City Centre with Wisma Selangor Dredging and Plaza 138. The group formally ventured into property development with its first landed residential community in Malaysia in 2004 and its first high-rise residential development in 2005, extending into Singapore by 2008. Today it operates as an award-winning boutique property developer delivering niche, high-value developments.

Selangor Dredging Berhad (SDB) was founded in 1962 by Mr Teh Kien Toh as Selangor Dredging Limited, listing on the Main Board of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange in 1964. For over two decades, the company operated as a pioneer in tin mining, becoming the first Malaysian entity to construct and operate its own dredges. In 1971, SDB commissioned its second dredge in Dengkil, Selangor, recognised at the time as the largest and most technologically advanced dredge globally. Before 2004, SDB established its presence in the Kuala Lumpur City Centre with the delivery of Wisma Selangor Dredging and Plaza 138. The group formally ventured into property development with its first landed residential community in Malaysia in 2004, and its first high-rise residential development in 2005. By 2008, it extended its presence into Singapore with its inaugural island project. Backed by 20 years of continuous growth, the company has delivered a total of 28 developments to date — 20 across Malaysia and 8 in Singapore. Today, SDB operates as an award-winning boutique property developer that delivers niche, high-value developments defined by spatial innovation, human-centric design and enduring architectural quality.
