Its product range covers truck-mounted concrete pumps, truck-mixers, stationary concrete pumps, truck-mixer pumps, separate placing booms, trailer pumps, cleaning systems for mixers, batching plants, pumping systems for industry and environment, and concrete recycling plants. The site highlights the BLUELINE from SCHWING, a 24/7 spare parts online catalogue, and news such as a new concrete mixer factory in Jamshedpur, India, and participation in the construction of La Tour F in Abidjan.

History

The official milestones page records that in 1934 the 25-year-old master locksmith Friedrich Wilhelm Schwing founded his craft business in Herne, in the heart of the Ruhrgebiet, with products finding buyers in mining and road construction as well as in the construction industry. In 1957 SCHWING presented the first ready-for-series-production hydraulic oil 2-cylinder concrete pump, a design principle adopted by almost all manufacturers and still the global standard. In 1958, in the Bavarian town of Memmingen, Stetter, which specialized in concrete mixing equipment early on, started the era of ready-mix concrete with the first truck-mixer, with a drum of only 3.5 m³ nominal volume. From 1962 Stetter built the first filling stations for the new truck-mixers, and only two years later Stetter manufactured large concrete batching plants. In 1965, with the ABP 20, SCHWING launched the first truck-mounted concrete pump.
