Overview
Sawdust City Brewing Company is a craft brewery located in Gravenhurst, Ontario, the gateway to Muskoka. Founded by Rob & Karla Engman and co-founded with Sam Corbeil, it began brewing at the Niagara College Teaching Brewery on Halloween 2011. In July 2013, the former Canadian Tire building in Gravenhurst was purchased, and in July 2014, the first official beer was packaged. The brewery is now owned and operated by Original Gravity, with Sam Corbeil as head brewer. They produce year-round favourites, seasonal releases, small-batch brews, barrel-aged specialties, and experimental beers, all made with pure Muskoka water and quality ingredients.
History
Sawdust City Brewing Company was founded by Rob & Karla Engman and co-founded with Sam Corbeil. It first began brewing beer at the Niagara College Teaching Brewery on Halloween 2011. In July 2013, the former Canadian Tire building in Gravenhurst was purchased, and in July 2014, the first official beer brewed at Sawdust City Brewing Company was packaged out of the brand-new tanks. The brewery is now owned and operated by Original Gravity, with Sam Corbeil still as head brewer.
