Savo-Karjalan Media

Savo-Karjalan Media Oy was a Finnish regional publishing company within the Keskisuomalainen Oyj group. Until September 2024 it operated under the name Savon Media Oy. Its main office was located in Jyväskylä before it was discontinued. The company published approximately 36 local media titles across the regions of North Savo (Pohjois-Savo), South Savo (Etelä-Savo), North Karelia (Pohjois-Karjala) and South Karelia (Etelä-Karjala). In addition to newspapers, its portfolio included the radio channels Karjalainen Syke and Savon Aallot. At the beginning of 2026, Etelä-Suomen Media, Savo-Karjalan Media, Mediasepät and Väli-Suomen Media merged into Päijänne Media, which was renamed Keskisuomalainen Media. The company is therefore no longer an active independent publishing entity but part of the larger Keskisuomalainen Media organisation.
