Saphly

Saphly is a storytelling platform and publisher built entirely around women-loving-women, offering a curated space for readers to discover sapphic literature and a platform for writers to publish freely and build a queer audience, with a publishing path for those ready to go further. It was founded by two writers who came up through online storytelling spaces, aiming to bridge the gap for queer writers from grassroots platforms. Saphly operates as a traditional independent publisher, acquiring manuscripts, handling production, and earning by selling books, not by charging authors.

Saphly was founded by two writers who, for more than a decade, came up through online storytelling spaces. They recognized that many talented queer writers start there but few are given opportunities to grow beyond it. Saphly bridges that gap, offering a dedicated platform and a professional publishing path for writers from grassroots platforms and beyond, while holding onto the community spirit. Saphly operates as a traditional independent publisher, acquiring manuscripts, handling the entire production process, and bringing finished books to readers at no cost to authors. They earn by selling books, not by charging writers.
