Salzburg Netz GmbH

Salzburg Netz GmbH is a licensed Austrian distribution network operator for electricity and gas in its supply area. It was founded in 2005 as a 100% subsidiary of Salzburg AG and began operating on 1 January 2006. The company handles the operation, maintenance and expansion of the electricity and gas networks, as well as metering services such as installation, maintenance and reading. It is also commissioned by Salzburg AG to manage network infrastructure and to handle connections for internet, TV, telephone, district heating and water.

Salzburg Netz GmbH was founded in 2005 as a 100% subsidiary of Salzburg AG and commenced operational activity on 1 January 2006. As a licensed network operator, it serves as the point of contact for the electricity and gas network in its supply area. It is commissioned by Salzburg AG with the operation of network infrastructure and with handling network connections for internet, TV, telephone, district heating and water, allowing it to offer connection to all available line networks of Salzburg Netz GmbH and Salzburg AG from a single source.
