Salamander Sauce Company

Salamander Sauce Company is a hot sauce brand that brings flavor and fire together. Their product line includes Whiskey, Original, and Tropical sauces. The founder, Timothy Kavarnos, started making hot sauce after years of gardening and working in NYC bars and restaurants. The brand name is inspired by the salamander's mythological association with fire.

The company was founded by Timothy Kavarnos, who was born and raised in rural CT in the 70's. He developed a love for heat after trying habanero-based hot sauces in the late 90's. After moving to NYC and working in bars and restaurants, he decided to make his own hot sauce, starting with a Piri-Piri recipe. The name 'Salamander' was chosen because of childhood memories and the mythological association of salamanders with fire.
