Rundfunk Orchester und Chöre gGmbH Berlin (ROC) is a non-profit cultural institution based in Berlin-Mitte that serves as the umbrella organisation for four ensembles: Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin, Rundfunkchor Berlin and RIAS Kammerchor Berlin. Founded in 1994 as an unusual solution for the radio ensembles of formerly divided Berlin, ROC creates the structural and financial framework for its ensembles' artistic work. Its four ensembles perform over 300 live concerts annually for more than 370,000 visitors, reach over 17 million radio listeners worldwide and about 14 million listeners on Spotify. ROC is funded by Deutschlandradio (40%), the Federal Republic of Germany (35%) and the State of Berlin (20%).

In 1994, Berlin faced the question of what to do with four world-class ensembles from two political systems that suddenly lived together in one city. The answer was the Rundfunk Orchester und Chöre gGmbH Berlin (ROC), which has functioned ever since. The ensemble network is the result of the responsibility to preserve the musical excellence of the four ensembles after German reunification. Since its founding in 1994, ROC has created the structural and financial conditions so that the artistic work of its four ensembles can have an impact at the highest level. ROC is based in Berlin-Mitte and is a non-profit organisation funded by Deutschlandradio (40%), the Federal Republic of Germany (35%) and the State of Berlin (20%).
