RoyOMartin is a family-owned, professionally managed American company that manufactures wood products and manages land and timber. Its name honors timber industry pioneer and family patriarch Roy O. Martin, Sr., who began the family's first business with a small sawmill in Alexandria, Louisiana, in 1923. RoyOMartin is one of several wholly-owned subsidiaries of Martin Sustainable Resources L.L.C., a privately held equity investment company owned by multiple generations of the Martin family. The company produces OSB, plywood, and solid wood products, and its holdings include plywood and oriented strand board (OSB) manufacturing facilities in Louisiana and a wholly-owned Texas subsidiary, Corrigan OSB, L.L.C.

RoyOMartin's name embodies the entrepreneurial spirit of timber industry pioneer and family patriarch Roy O. Martin, Sr., who began the family's first business with a small sawmill in Alexandria, Louisiana, in 1923. In that year, Roy Otis Martin of Edwardsburg, Michigan, purchased Creston Lumber Mill in Alexandria, Louisiana, for $32,000 and named it Roy O. Martin Lumber Company, Inc. In 1929 he began purchasing land aggressively, with his first major land purchase being the Black Lake timber block of 6,500 acres. A sawmill in Castor, Louisiana, opened in 1933, and in 1939 the Castor mill burned to the ground. Today RoyOMartin is one of several wholly-owned, professionally-managed subsidiaries of Martin Sustainable Resources L.L.C., a mid-sized equity investment company privately held by multiple generations of the Martin family. The company states it is an established American company using only domestic raw materials to manufacture its wood products, and that it bears the Martin family's 100-year reputation as a timber-industry leader.
