The Royal Oak is a friendly neighbourhood pub and kitchen in Wotton-under-Edge, England. It serves really great pub grub and is known for creating delicious dishes using high quality, locally sourced ingredients. Fred and Jeremy, who previously ran Good Food Kitchen in the Cotswolds, relaunched The Royal Oak, breathing new foodie life into the historic building. The menu celebrates the South West's best products and producers, with pub classics perfected for a foodie's palate, alongside a thoughtful young 'uns menu. Early in 2026, the team plans to introduce a small Italian menu with classics and comfort food, along with daily specials.

Fred and Jeremy spent a decade in the city of angels, described as arguably the biggest foodie city on the planet, before bringing a taste of California to the Cotswolds with Good Food Kitchen. This little bistro is located on the Cotswold Way, in Wotton-under-Edge, a market town famous for being the gateway to the Cotswolds. The duo spent almost two years building a five star reputation, as well as a five star reviewed restaurant, while listening to the community: what they miss, what they want. When the opportunity came along to relaunch The Royal Oak, breathing new foodie life into the historic building, the two knew exactly what to do. A delicious menu, celebrating the South West's best products and producers, boasts pub classics, perfected for a foodie's palate. Along with a thoughtful young 'uns menu, The Royal Oak is firmly stamping a new era for the pub: a place for family, community and really great food. Early in 2026, the team plans to introduce a small Italian menu, with some classics, as well as comfort food that Italians enjoy at home. Along with daily specials, this will complete the pub's foodie offering.
