Riot Factory

Riot Factory is a Norwegian independent record label founded in 2011 by Stian Denstad, Arne Johannessen, and Jonny Hanger Humstad. With offices in Trondheim and Oslo, the label has established itself as a key player in the Scandinavian indie music scene. Its roster includes artists from Norway, Denmark, and Sweden, such as Haunted Mansions, Sleep Party People, Future Buddha, Snøskred, and Highasakite. The label describes itself as "probably the most handsome indie label in Scandinavia" and champions music that "rebels against indifference." Riot Factory's releases are distributed in Norway by Musikkoperatørene AS and internationally by INgrooves. In addition to its regular releases, the label organizes the "Alternativ Julekalender" (Alternative Christmas Calendar), an annual advent calendar project that showcases Norwegian underground music. In 2013, Riot Factory received the music industry award from NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology). The label continues to be active, promoting both digital and vinyl releases.
