Overview
Rimoni Industries Ltd. is an Israeli public company engaged in the manufacture of molds for the plastics industry and the injection molding of precision plastic-rich parts, alongside product development and design. Founded in 1954 by Yotam Rimoni, the company has grown from a mold-making specialist into an integrated manufacturing group. It combines in-house tooling, precision injection molding, cleanroom production, assembly and automation to support demanding products throughout long-term serial production. The company serves primarily the automotive, medical, electronics, food, agriculture and defense industries. Rimoni operates two production sites in Israel, in Modi'in and Kiryat Shmona, covering 21,000 square meters as of 2025. It also collaborates with manufacturing plants in the Czech Republic, Poland and China. The company runs approximately 130 injection molding machines with clamping forces from 35 to 500 tons, and operates two cleanrooms for the medical industry. Its mold production is carried out in Modi'in, enabling in-house manufacturing of precise and complex molds for the plastics industry, including multi-cavity molds designed for exceptionally long production runs. Assembly and automation departments include robotics, cobots, and pneumatic and electronic arrays for clean, hands-free assembly, as well as manual assemblies requiring precision and human control. Rimoni Industries is traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. In 2020, Fimi Fund acquired 37.5% of the company's shares from the owners. The founder's sons, brothers Danny, Rafi and Gadi Rimoni, hold 29.52% of the company's shares. The company's current CEO is Danny Rimoni, son of the founder, and the current chairwoman is Lilach Asher-Topilsky. The company's capabilities support defense and aerospace programs with engineering, in-house mold manufacturing, precision injection molding, insert and over-molding, assembly and serial production. For the medical sector, Rimoni operates a fully equipped cleanroom and adheres to high production standards, including ISO 13485 (with Clean Room ISO 8 = class...). For automotive, it provides innovative solutions for precisely integrated metal and plastic components. For consumer products, it provides integrated metal and plastic components and complete solutions. For agriculture, it offers a whole range of products for both domestic and professional markets. For technology innovators, it provides precise integrated metal and plastic components. Rimoni's engineering and DFM process considers factors from the earliest stages, allowing potential issues to be identified and resolved before tooling and mass production begin. Capabilities include concept development, detailed product engineering, design for manufacturing (DFM), material selection, mold flow and engineering analysis, prototyping, and production transfer. One of Rimoni's key advantages is the direct connection between engineering and manufacturing: engineers work closely with mold designers and manufacturing teams, enabling engineering decisions to be evaluated against real production requirements from the beginning. The integrated workflow—Engineering & DFM → Prototyping → Mold Manufacturing → Injection Molding → Assembly—allows customers to benefit from faster communication, fewer handovers and a smoother transition from development to serial production.
History
Rimoni Industries was founded in 1954 by Yotam Rimoni, who had received his education at a professional school and initially worked in the military industry. When he decided to strike out on an independent path in 1954, the military industry became the first customer of the workshop. The company was incorporated in 1966. In 1973, Rimoni moved to Petah Tikva and began manufacturing molds for the plastics industry and serial machining for its customers. In 1979, the first plastic injection molding machine was purchased, and Rimoni began offering a combined service of mold manufacturing and injection molding of plastic parts. Yotam's sons, Rafi, Gadi and Danny, joined the company over the years. Rafi Rimoni established the plastics plant, and Gadi Rimoni developed the mold plant together with Yotam Rimoni. Upon the father Yotam Rimoni's retirement from the CEO position in 2020, his youngest son Danny was appointed in his place, a role he holds to this day. In 1995, after the company's IPO on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, it was decided to establish an additional plant in the north, initially located in the Tel Hai Industrial Park and later moved to the northern industrial zone of Kiryat Shmona. Initially 4,000 square meters were leased; after 8 years the area was purchased and doubled, and today the plant controls 14,000 square meters. In 1999, the company acquired EOR, which manufactured fuel filters for vehicles, and merged it into Rimoni. Today, filter production is a department in the Rimoni plant in Kiryat Shmona. In the same year, MPE – Metal Plast Engineering was established together with two partners, "Shiran Engineering" and "Lev Mavlatim". The company engages in marketing complex assemblies made of plastic and metal parts for the automotive industry. In 2017, the company acquired the activity of "Friedrich Plastic Industries". In addition to the activity, Rimoni acquired most of Friedrich's equipment and enabled the company's employees to integrate into the Kiryat Shmona plant; indeed, a number of employees were absorbed into Rimoni North. In the same year, the company acquired the activity of the development company "Shiran Engineering", which included the acquisition of Shiran's share in MPE. After the acquisition, MPE was moved from its offices in Yokneam to Shiran Engineering's offices in Nesher. Also in that year, the company's headquarters and production plant moved to their new home in the industrial zone in Modi'in. In 2019, the company acquired R.P.M. Plastic Industries Ltd., which was engaged in the production of products in the hygiene field using plastic injection technology. In 2020, Fimi Fund acquired 37.5% of the company's shares from the owners of Rimoni. The founder's sons, brothers Danny, Rafi and Gadi Rimoni, hold 29.52% of the company's shares. The company's main design and development activity is carried out at the group's sites in Modi'in and Nesher. The company's mold production is carried out in Modi'in and enables in-house production of molds. This production of precise and complex molds for the plastics industry and multi-cavity molds intended for exceptionally long production runs solves the problem of "seams" between different suppliers that exists in this industry. Plastic injection technology is used at two production sites in Israel, in Modi'in and Kiryat Shmona, covering 21,000 square meters (as of 2025). In addition, the company collaborates with manufacturing plants in the Czech Republic, Poland and China. The company has about 130 injection machines, with clamping forces from 35 tons to 500 tons. Rimoni operates two cleanrooms for the medical industry. Assembly and automation departments include an automation array—robots, cobots, pneumatic and electronic arrays for clean, hands-free assembly, and manual assemblies requiring precision and human control.
