Revista de Estudios Regionales

The Revista de Estudios Regionales (RER) is a Spanish cultural and scientific journal founded in 1978 and published by the ten public universities of Andalusia. It emerged from an initiative of the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the University of Málaga and has been published since 1977. The journal focuses on regional studies and is multidisciplinary, with a predominance of topics in Economics, Geography, Political Science, History, Sociology, Legal Sciences, and Anthropology, although it also covers other fields. It has been published quarterly since 1987. The governing body consists of a board of directors made up of the ten rectors of each of the Andalusian public universities (Almería, Cádiz, Córdoba, Granada, Huelva, Internacional de Andalucía, Jaén, Málaga, Pablo Olavide, and Sevilla), along with an external council and an editorial board with representatives from all universities.
