Retail Operating Company

Retail Operating Company Deutschland GmbH (ROC) is a German fuel-station operator headquartered in Hamburg. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Echo Tankstellen GmbH. The company was founded in 2005 by Esso Deutschland GmbH and, following the 2018 sale of Esso Deutschland's station network to the EG Group, was sold to Echo Tankstellen GmbH. ROC operates roughly 200 Esso-branded filling stations in Germany, managed by employed station managers rather than independent dealers. Its stations are present in Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, Hamburg, Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland.
