Overview

Resol Holdings Co., Ltd. is a Japanese holding company whose group operates hotels, golf courses, resort facilities, and employee-benefit services. The company traces its origins to Nihon Eternit Pipe Co., Ltd., established in 1931 as a manufacturer of asbestos cement pipes. After withdrawing from that business in 1985, it shifted its focus to resort development, selling golf memberships from 1987. In 1988 it changed its name to Misawa Resort Co., Ltd., and after leaving the Misawa Homes group it became Resort Solution Co., Ltd. in 2005. On October 1, 2016, it transitioned to a pure holding company structure and adopted its current name, Resol Holdings Co., Ltd. The company is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market. The RESOL name is a coined word combining "Re sort" and "Sol ution," reflecting the group's aim to propose optimal solutions for a variety of themes, from individual leisure to corporate welfare. The corporate slogan is "Make your off-time more smile-filled." The group's mission is expressed through three elements: the corporate slogan, the corporate philosophy of providing "purpose in life, bonds, health, and relaxation" through innovative thinking and action, and a long-term group policy of being "kind to people, kind to society, and kind to the Earth." The group operates a wide range of facilities across Japan. Its hotel brands include Hotel Resol, Hotel Resol Trinity, and Resol Poshtel, with locations in Sapporo, Hakodate, Tokyo (Asakusa, Akihabara, Ikebukuro, Ueno), Machida, Yokohama, Nagoya, Gifu, Kanazawa, Kyoto, Osaka, Hakata, Sasebo, and Naha. It also operates Suite Villa luxury rental villas, Pet & Spa Hotels, and the Sport & Do Resort Resol no Mori in Chiba Prefecture. In golf, the group operates 17 courses nationwide, including Spa & Golf Resort Kuji, Mashiko Country Club, and many others. Additionally, it provides the Life Support Club, a wellness-oriented employee-benefit service. Resol Holdings positions itself around a "RESOL Cycle" synergy model, aiming to create value across its resort, hotel, golf, and wellness businesses. The group emphasizes ESG management and community contribution, with initiatives in energy conservation, renewable energy, and green-space preservation. Its representative director and president is Masaru Osawa.
