Overview
Report URI is a client-side security platform that shows organisations what is happening in the browser, enforces what is allowed, and proves it with real data. It was created to help organisations understand what executes in the browser and operationalise browser-native security controls at scale. The platform launched in 2015 with CSP and HPKP violation reporting, and evolved into broader client-side visibility, policy management, and active enforcement — never via injected scripts, agents, or runtime interference. It is led by a team with deep expertise in browser security, Content Security Policy (CSP), and client-side security practices.
History
Report URI was created to help organisations understand what executes in the browser and operationalise browser-native security controls at scale. As websites became increasingly dependent on third-party code, browser security standards like Content Security Policy (CSP) created new opportunities for visibility and enforcement, but operating them at scale was difficult. Modern websites started executing dozens of scripts, tags, and dependencies the organisation had never written, never reviewed, and never directly controlled. CSP gave browsers a way to enforce what could execute on a page — a real, runtime control built into every major browser at no cost — but understanding browser behaviour, investigating violations, and maintaining effective policies across growing environments remained hard in practice, and that gap shaped Report URI. Report URI launched in 2015 with CSP and HPKP violation reporting. As volume grew, report filtering, custom subdomains, and the first commercial subscriptions arrived. What began as CSP reporting evolved into broader client-side visibility, policy management, and active enforcement — never via injected scripts, agents, or runtime interference.
Products and positioning
A client-side security platform built browser-native from day one, providing visibility, policy management, and active enforcement without injected scripts, agents, or runtime interference.
CSP violation reporting
The original feature, launched in 2015: one header, structured reports, instant visibility.
HPKP violation reporting
Launched alongside CSP reporting in 2015.
Report filtering and custom subdomains
Introduced as report volume grew, alongside the first commercial subscriptions.
