Regionalbus Ostbayern

Regionalbus Ostbayern (RBO) is a bus company within DB Regio Bus Bayern, which comprises eight bus companies with nearly 2,000 employees and provides transport services across Bavaria, from the Untermain region to the Bavarian Forest and the Alpine foothills. RBO operates in eastern Bavaria; its southern branch (RBO-Niederlassung Süd) received 16 of the 23 electric buses added to the DB Regio Bus Bayern fleet in 2025, and one third of the fleet at the Passau depot is electrified.

Regionalbus Ostbayern (RBO) is one of the eight bus companies that make up DB Regio Bus Bayern, Region Bayern. This group has nearly 2,000 employees and provides transport services throughout Bavaria, from the Untermain region through the Bavarian Forest to the Alpine foothills. In 2025, DB Regio Bus Bayern added 23 electric buses to its fleet, 16 of which were deployed at the RBO-Niederlassung Süd; at the Passau depot, one third of the fleet became electrified. Also in 2025, 19 HVO buses were put into service across the Bavarian branches, saving up to 90 percent CO2 compared to diesel vehicles.
