Redwinetunes

Redwinetunes (often abbreviated RWT) is a German independent record label based in Munich. It was founded in 2003 by Marcus Zilg and Gerald "Gerry" Huber, with Zilg serving as the official managing director. The label's first release was the 2003 album European Cuts by Cat Sun Flower. Before founding the label, Zilg had already worked as a producer for bands such as Die Moulinettes and the Jeep Beat Orchestra. Redwinetunes has released music by a range of artists and is known for its compilation samplers, including Wine & Dine (2004, compiled by Rainer Germann) and the Frisch gepresst series (2005 and 2006), which were produced in cooperation with the Munich city magazine In München and the radio program Zündfunk. The label remains active in the German independent music scene.

The label gained further attention with its Frisch gepresst sampler series: Frisch gepresst – 30 Heimspiele in München (2005) and Frisch gepresst 2 – 40 Heimspiele in München (2006), both created in collaboration with the Munich city magazine In München and the radio show Zündfunk. These samplers highlighted local Munich bands and solidified the label's connection to the regional music scene. Redwinetunes continues to operate as an independent label, releasing music by various artists.
